Les Nabis flourished by group of Post- Impressionist avant-garde artists in France in the 1890s.The term was invented by the poet Henri Cazalis. The artists of this style were influenced by the paintings of the impressionists. The style was invented by Paul Serusier. Edouard Vuillard,Pierre Bonnard and Maurice Denis are other members of the group. In 1890 they began to participate in public exhibitions but in 1896 unity of the group had begun to break. Most members could stand on their own but Paul Serusier had problems to overcome. The painting Talisman was painted by himself that had revealed to them the way to go.
